Annika Hippler

was zusammengehört

The exhibition was zusammenhört by Annika Hippler opens on November 26 at 6 pm and shows, until February 3, 2025, light as a means of art, as an installation, photo or sculpture.

Annika Hippler deals with light as an artistic material and examines the influence of light and movement on space and perception in her works. She is particularly interested in the implementation of analog-immersive light spaces, which transform existing places in such a way that new experiences become possible. With cross-references to science, she creates kinetic installations, light installations and interventions in public spaces.

The current exhibition is based on biographical aspects of the artist, who was born in West Berlin in 1978, and focuses on spatial experiences of dissolving boundaries. For example, she explores the diverging standards of light temperatures in the eastern and western parts of the city. Another element of the exhibition is the homeopathic remedy “Murus Berlinensis (Berlin Wall)”, which is intended to help overcome emotional barriers and is administered for feelings of isolation and world-weariness.
